Oh, 2016 – what a year! Over the last 365 days we’ve rocked out to great music, welcomed the community into our unique venues, celebrated the holidays with friends and family, made a difference for the less fortunate, hit the open road together and more!
Looking back, we’ve had a slew of entertainers out to Six Bends to perform. We relived our teenage years with Skid Row, jammed with James Otto, watched local bands compete at Battle of the Bands series, and kicked back on the weekends with talented bands like Double Barrel, The Hipnauticals, Soapy Tuna, Lazy Daze Duo, Chain Reaction, Jaded, and many more!
You may have seen your favorite musicians at one of our monthly events. If you know Six Bends, you know we love to have a good time! Our friends and family in the community celebrated the holidays with us — including Land O’ Six Bends (St. Patrick’s Day), Cinco de Mayo, Hawg-O-Ween (Halloween) and the Happy Harley Days (Christmas) — and came out for our unique events such as the Gator Gathering with UF Football Coach Jim McElwain, Bourbon, Brews & BBQ, and the insanely popular Food Truck Wars.
In the end, it’s not about the food or frenzy; it’s about making a difference for those around us. We thank everyone who came together to support the philanthropic events we’ve hosted, including Grease and Glamour (benefitting PACE Center for Girls) and the Homecoming Rally (benefitting Wounded Warrior Project via ScootinAmerica). This year we were even able to raise more than $160,000 for the March of Dimes through Bikers for Babies! None of this would be possible without our loyal Harley-Davidson rider, neighbors, and friends.
We rocked out, we celebrated, we supported…and we did it all together, side by side. From our attempts to break the world record for longest parade of Harley-Davidson motorcycles to raising thousands of dollars to change lives across Southwest Florida, we appreciate your participation throughout the year. Thank you for being a part of 2016 at Six Bends – here’s to an even greater 2017!
