Authentic Irish Festival Coming To Six Bends

Six Bends is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a Saturday of authentic food and entertainment. Six Bends’ Irish Fest, to be held on March 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., will feature Irish band Celtic Stew, talented bagpiper James Freeman, Flanagan-O’Hare Irish dancers, and more.

The authentic melodies of local bagpiper James Freeman will kick off the event at 1:00 p.m., followed by the classic sounds of Irish folk band Celtic Stew at 2:00 p.m. Guests can test their luck in the stein-holding contest to win prizes, or relax on The Plaza for a half-hour dance performance by the Flanagan O’Hare School of Irish Dance at 2:45 p.m.

Throughout the event guests can celebrate the holiday with true Irish foods and beverages, and a complementary Whiskey and beer tasting to include well-known favorites and specialty flavors. Celtic vendors will line the property, showcasing their heritage and Irish-inspired wares for all to see. Those who feel the luck of the Irish are encouraged to dress up in their most authentic attire to compete for a special grand prize. Judging will begin at 4:00 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public, all ages welcome. For additional information about this and other upcoming Six Bends events, contact Taylor Loethen at
