Families can enjoy festive holiday fun and live entertainment throughout May at Six Bends.

On Thursday, May 5, Six Bends will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration presented by Univision from 5:00 to 9:00p.m. Guests can taste traditional dishes from 5 competing restaurants and vote their favorite recipe for a $1,000 ‘restaurant war’ grand prize. The holiday fiesta will also feature an attempt to break the World Record for the longest taco line (currently set at 2,013 tacos). The tacos will then be donated to local First Responders. Live music will be provided by DJ LEXX.

This event is free and open to the public, all ages are welcome. On Saturday, May 7, the 4 Words Foundation and 21st Century C.A.R.E. will partner to host the 3rd Annual Racing for Cancer Causes Bed Race. Teams of five can enter their creative bed in the 100-yard race for a chance to be awarded for their design, speed, and fundraising efforts. All proceeds raised will be used to support cancer research, education, patient assistance, and other programs held by the co-hosting organizations. Sundays at The Pit returns from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday in May on the following dates: May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. On May 1 Randy Stephens will perform blues-rock on guitar; May 8, Bobby James will play a mix of original and popular acoustic covers; May 15, Two Tunas will return for another performance; May 22, 8 Second Ride, a country band, will make a debut performance; and on May 29, Paul Allodi will play a mix of acoustic covers and original songs.
