Six Bends Raises $1,330 For The Wounded Warrior Project

FORT MYERS, FL – JULY 15, 2015 – On July 11, hundreds of friends, families, and riders in the community came out to support the Wounded Warrior Project at the Six Bends ‘Beat the Heat’ bike rally. Attendees were able to enjoy lunch with a five-dollar donation from Mission BBQ; music by Jeff Lyons and a bikini bike wash with the girls from Babes.

Lunch donations raised $472, the bike wash raised $258 and the girls from Babes donated an additional $500 in tips, combined for a total donation of $1,330 to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The ‘Beat the Heat’ Bike Rally is part of the Six Bends Summer Rally designed to raise awareness and donations for the Wounded Warrior Project. The July Summer Rally featured a Friday Night Free Concert showcasing ‘Never Stop Believin’, the ultimate Journey cover band. The concert had 700 attendees and the Stevie Tomatoes food truck. The weekend concluded with Sundays at The Pit featuring a performance by Lazy Daze Duo and food by Chef Hector and his famous food truck El Toro Del Sol.

The next ‘Beat the Heat’ Bike Rally will be held on Aug. 8 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Six Bends Harley-Davidson. The event will feature Tex-Mex themed food, tasty beverages, live music, cool zone and bikini bike wash. The public can also enjoy two additional free Friday Night Concerts on Aug. 7 and Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
