At Six Bends, we care about our veterans and we celebrate all the work they have risked their lives for. So for the entire month of November, we will be sharing a variety of ways to recognize how much we appreciate our veterans.
Our biggest celebration will be an event on November 21 at Six Bends Harley Davidson. The event is free and open to anyone who would like to give recognition to our retired and active veterans. We will be providing a hot breakfast provided by LeeSar from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. After the breakfast, guests are welcome to join in on a special flag raising ceremony and honor guard at 11:30 a.m. Then at 12 p.m., we will be organizing a group freedom photo for all those who attend. Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniform, colors and patches for the photo.
The event will resume from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with live music, vendors, and refreshments. All veterans that participated in the photo will receive a free copy of the photo for them to take home. Donations are accepted to benefit the American Fallen Soldiers project, which is a nonprofit organization that gives a family a portrait of their fallen loved one. We hope to see lots of veterans and guests to come out for this fun and free event to support those who fight for our freedom.
